A new twist on things.

Lately, everything has been so chaotic and crazy around here. I'm still getting used to school and work, and having something to do every moment of every day. But today I finally had a time of rest and relfection. I just layed on my oh so comfortable bed and chilled while listening to music and just enjoying time alone. I don't get that a lot anymore, so its nice to have it every now and then. The one thing I noticed today is I never take time to just enjoy the little things of life anymore. I thought now that I'm an "adult", I don't have time for that anymore. But I was so wrong. If you don't stop and smell the roses every now and then, you get sucked into the life routine. You get up, go to school/work, come home, go to church on wednesdays and sundays, go to sleep just to do it all over again the next day. But life isn't supposed to be boring and bland to where you feel like your getting no where. Life is supposed to be an exciting journey, where each day leads to more steps in your path. Yes, there are obstacles in your way.. that's part of the excitement. to overcome an obstacle gives you such a feeling of accomplishment. So, just stop and take a break every once in a while, a break from everything. A time of self reflection really makes you have a new perspective of life and your purpose.
On to other things, I'm really excited about the college ministry. I just hope I'm able to be at most, if not all the meetings. I really hope this is a chance for the older students of first assembly to really bond and unite as one. Wednesday night youth services are great and Pastor Rick does an amazing job, but this group is more focused to where the older ones are in life, compared to the school ages the youth group targets. I pray that this ministry starts to grow in a way that we could never imagine. And with God behind it, I have no doubt that it will. And how cool would it be to spend SPRING BREAK in Colorado! =) =) =)

in the words of Porky the Pig, that's all folks.
